State-owned BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd) has been ranked No. 1 in the CRISIL ESG Ratings Report – September 2025 for the Oil & Gas (Refining & Marketing) sector, a milestone marked in the presence of Shri Sohail Akhtar – CGM Net Zero Initiatives, Shri Sanjeev Raina – ED (I/c) CHSSE, Shri Amol Bankar, Chief Manager, CHSSE, Shri Srinivas Lavuri, Chief Manager, CHSSE, and Shri Satish Sudhir, Chief Manager, CHSSE.
The rating places BPCL ahead of IOCL, HPCL, MRPL and CPCL, while performing at par with RIL. This reflects BPCL’s strong performance in key ESG parameters, including enhanced Scope 3 disclosures, superior training coverage, zero employee fatalities over four years, and robust governance with independent directors leading all statutory committees.
