Singrauli, March 6: Achyut Ghatak, Director (Technical) of Coal India Limited, conducted a field visit to the Krishnashila and Jayant mining projects of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on Thursday to review ongoing mining operations and assess safety measures.

During the visit, Ghatak inspected several operational sites across both projects and held detailed discussions with officials regarding production activities and safety practices. The review focused on ensuring strict adherence to workplace safety standards, operational efficiency, and compliance with mining regulations.

He also interacted with employees and project officials, highlighting the importance of maintaining a strong safety culture in mining operations. Ghatak urged workers and management teams to remain vigilant and consistently follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure smooth operations.

The Coal India director also issued necessary operational directives after reviewing the ground-level situation and encouraged teams to continue prioritizing safety alongside productivity.

The visit was accompanied by senior officials including Ashutosh Dwivedi, Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited, and C. P. Garg, Executive Director (Safety & Rescue) at Coal India Limited. The Area General Manager and other senior project officials were also present during the inspection.
