New Delhi, September 5, 2025: India's one of the leading hydropower companies and 'Navratna' PSU, NHPC Limited, on 4th September 2025, onboards its new Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Bhupender Gupta. This significant leadership change signals a new chapter for NHPC Limited in positioning the strategic growth of the company.
What other PSUs does Bhupendra Gupta serve?
With his recent appointment in NHPC Limited as CMD, he is also serving as Director Technical in THDC Limited and Additional Charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited.
He began his career in CPSU by choosing SJVN in 1995, after serving 12 years in the same company but different position in 2007 he joined REC Limited, the Maharatna company that finances and promotes power projects across India. Worked in two different REC's subsidiaries.
Later on, he joined the Punatsangchhu Hydroelectric Project Authority in 2020 as Director (Technical). After three years, he joined THDC Limited as Director (Technical).
