GAIL Launches Bhoomi Poojan for State-of-the-Art R&D Centre in IMT Sohna, Haryana

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited’s Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, performed the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for the company’s upcoming R&D Centre at Sector 22, IMT Sohna, Haryana. The event was attended by Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (BD), GAIL, along with senior officials of the company.

Spread across 30 acres (85,000 sq. m.), the Centre is envisioned as a future-ready innovation hub to strengthen GAIL’s technological leadership in natural gas, petrochemicals, renewables, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and advanced analytical sciences.

Equipped with world-class laboratories and pilot-scale facilities, including closed-loop pipeline testing systems and polymer development reactors, the Centre is designed to bridge the gap between research and commercial deployment.

This landmark initiative will promote indigenous technology development, enhance collaboration with academia and startups, and support India’s clean energy transition, in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
