MSME Ministry Upgrades National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) to Schedule ‘A’ CPSE

The Ministry of MSME under the Government of India has through the notification has upgraded NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation Ltd) from the Schedule B to Schedule A category CPSE. The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd which is under the Central Public Sector Enterprises has been engaged in the promotion and development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector across the nation since more than seven decades.

The PSU organization has provided the significant support to MSMEs industries in the complete stages of nation building progress through the various interventions such as Skilling, Capacity Building while enhancing their cost competitiveness, Marketing Support, Credit Facilitation, Growth Capital by way of Equity investments etc. Further, NSIC has acted as implementation partner for several aspirational and organizing programmes of Government of India.

With this recognition of Schedule A, it has demonstrated a positive impact on PSU’s management, operation and financial boost while supporting to MSMEs.

Meanwhile, the NSIC has received Excellent Ratings from DPE for the year 2024-25 which is a testament to the continuous tireless efforts of the NSIC team over the years.
