State-owned Oil Major PSU, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, has launched Project SPRINT, a strategic initiative which is aimed at ensuring the company is future-ready in the evolving global energy landscape. The initiative focuses on strengthening core businesses while embracing innovation and sustainability.
SPRINT stands for:
Strengthening core businesses (oil refining, petrochemicals, and fuel marketing)
Propelling cost optimization to boost profitability
Reinforcing customer-centricity
Integrating technology and innovation

Under the leadership of Chairman Arvindar Singh Sahney, Project SPRINT seeks to ensure Indian Oil remains relevant in a world shifting away from fossil fuels. The firm has stated that this transformation will make Indian Oil a smarter, more agile company ready to lead the future.
