IndianOil Executive Director Ajay Garg Passes Away

New Delhi:   Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) has announced the sad demise of Shri Ajay Garg, who was serving as Executive Director (Gas), Business Development and was part of the company’s Senior Management Personnel.

According to the official disclosure made under SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, Shri Ajay Garg ceased to be part of IndianOil’s senior management on January 3, 2026, following his passing.

Shri Ajay Garg was one of the key leadership figures at IndianOil and worked at a level just below the Board of Directors. He played an important role in the company’s gas and business development operations.

with Executive Director (Gas) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, with over 31 years of experience across operations, marketing, gas business and international energy operations. A Mechanical Engineer from the Institute of Engineering, Lucknow, he also served as Vice President (Sales) at Lanka IOC Ltd., strengthening IndianOil’s overseas business.

He held several key board positions, including Chairman of IndianOil-Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd., Director of IndianOil LNG Pvt. Ltd., Director of IndOil Montney Ltd. (Canada) and Nominee Director at GSPL India Gasnet Ltd. and GSPL India Transco Ltd., contributing significantly to India’s natural gas infrastructure and energy transition.

IndianOil informed stock exchanges that Shri Ajay Garg ceased to be part of senior management on 3 January 2026 following his sad demise.

IndianOil expressed its deep sorrow and placed the information on record through a formal communication to the stock exchanges.
