Sesha Giridhar Kuppili to retire as Executive Director (Pension & Group Schemes) from LIC

Mumbai, 31 August: Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced changes in the senior management personnel of the board. With this, Shri Sesha Giridhar Kuppili will be superannuating w.e.f., August 31, 2026, after the close of office hours.

Shri Sesha Giridhar Kuppili was serving as Executive Director (Pension & Group Schemes), Central Office, Mumbai. On 14th August, Axis Bank appointed K. S. Giridhar as an additional non-executive (nominee) director on its board.

K. S. Giridhar has been serving as executive director (P & GS) of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. He has over 35 years of experience at LIC, spanning group business, investments, technology, governance, and pension solutions.

He is presently leading LIC’s Group Business, which has Assets under Management (AUM) exceeding approximately Rs 14 trillion. Earlier, he had held key positions such as Executive Director – Investments (Monitoring & IT); Chief – Investment Debt Operations and Equity Research; and Head – Group Business Marketing Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
