LIC buys stake in Bank of India to make total 8.380% stake

State-run Life Insurance Corporation has disclosed through exchange filing that it has secured a 2.026% stake in the shareholding of Bank of India through market purchase as a mode of acquisition.

The total shareholding now stood at 8.380% from earlier 6.354%.

Shares of LIC were closed at Rs 827.60, up by 1.49% at NSE. The stock has been corrected over 5.27% in the last five days.
