Mekhali Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated as Wholly Owned Subsidiary of RECPDCL.
New Delhi, 20 May, 2025: Mekhali Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated as Wholly Owned Subsidiary of RECPDCL.
The company has informed through exchange filing. This is to inform that Mekhali Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated as Wholly Owned Subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited ("RECPDCL" - a Wholly Owned Subsidiary ofREC Limited). The said company is also subsidiary company of REC Limited, in terms of the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013, as per the filing stated.
The Company has been incorporated for Establishing 400 KV Substation at Mekhali along with associated transmission lines (Belagavi District, Kamataka).
On 4th March 2025, Energy department of Government of Karnataka had allocated one intra-state transmission project, wherein REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has been appointed to act as Bid Process Coordinator (EPC) for the purpose of selection of Bidder for Establishing 400 KV Substation at Mekhali along with associated transmission lines (Eelagavi District, Karnataka).
Therefore, Mekhali Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated on May 20, 2025. After selection of the successful bidder in accordance with the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines, said company would be transferred to the successful bidder along with all assets & liabilities.
