NHPC CMD Rajendra Prasad Goyal Superannuates
Shri Rajendra Prasad Goyal has been retired as Chairman & Managing Director and Director (Finance) as well as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the NHPC Ltd
New Delhi: Shri Rajendra Prasad Goyal has been retired to be Chairman & Managing Director and Director (Finance) as well as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the NHPC Ltd upon attaining the age of superannuation with effect from 31.08.2025 (EOD).
Earlier, he had also been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Director (Finance) of SJVN Limited w.e.f. 06.01.2025 till the appointment of Shri Bhupendra Gupta in the company as the regular incumbent.
After the superannuation of Shri Raj Kumar Chaudhary, a seasoned technical professional who has served as the CMD of NHPC till June 2025, the additional charge was granted to Shri Rajendra Prasad Goyal from July 1, 2025.

Mr. Goyal has been serving as Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited since October 1, 2020. He also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the company. Earlier, he also held the position of Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC, as an additional charge from 01.03.2024 to 07.08.2024. Shri Goyal began his career at NHPC on November 18, 1988, as a senior accountant at Salal Power Station in J&K.
He has since worked at various projects and offices, including the Chamera-I Project, the Dulhasti Project, the Regional Office in Jammu, and the Corporate Office in Faridabad, in various capacities. Before becoming Director (Finance), he was Chief General Manager (Finance), overseeing Corporate Accounts & Policy, Taxation, Treasury, Establishment, and Investor Relations.
