NHPC Limited has handed over a newly constructed Out Patient Department (OPD) complex to the Health Department in Bani, strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the hilly region. The facility was developed under NHPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at a cost of Rs 1.80 crore and was completed within the prescribed timeline.

As per an official statement, the OPD complex was formally handed over by the General Manager of NHPC Mashka-II Project to the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Bani, Dr. Dev Raj Mishra.

The handover fulfils a long-pending demand of the local population for improved healthcare facilities. The project is expected to significantly enhance access to medical services and improve patient care in the remote block of Bani.

NHPC has earlier contributed to strengthening healthcare services in the area by providing a TB ward, female ward, X-ray unit, and additional accommodation, further supporting the region’s medical infrastructure.

On the occasion, Dr. Dev Raj Mishra expressed gratitude to NHPC authorities for their continued support in developing hospital infrastructure. He also thanked the District Administration for prioritising healthcare development in the region.
