NLMC to Facilitate E-Auction of 459 RINL Land Parcels in Visakhapatnam

New Delhi, 2 September 2026: National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), a 100% Government of India-owned enterprise under administrative control of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance, has announced an e-auction of strategically located land assets owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Total Portfolio: 459 Land Parcels, 93,572.21 Square Yards for Sale with Clear Encumbrance-Free Government Titles. Individual plots range from about 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards in size. Quikr India Pvt. Ltd. QIPL has been appointed as a transaction consultant to assist in the auction process.

Strategically Located Land Portfolio

1-HB Colony, Maddilapalem: Features 456 residential MIG/LIG plots situated in an established urban neighborhood equipped with complete civic and social infrastructure. The properties feature 24- to 60-foot concrete approach roads and direct proximity to National Highway 16 (NH-16).

2-Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka: Includes a prime 2,728-square-yard contiguous parcel in Block 2 located 0.5 km from NH-16 (tailored for commercial and logistics use), alongside two residential plots in Block 3.

Competitive bidding will be done on the RailTel E-Nivida e-Procurement Platform on the following two scheduled dates: October 12, 2026, and October 16, 2026.

Those who want to bid will have to register themselves online, get KYC verified, and submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹2 lakh per plot on the official portal within the stipulated time lines.

The move is in line with the core mandate of NLMC to monetize surplus land and non-core assets held by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and government agencies in a structured and transparent manner.

The digitally-enabled bidding process provides eligible investors, developers, and individual participants with an assured opportunity to acquire assets in prime, mature areas of Visakhapatnam.
