NTPC Talcher Kaniha Celebrates the 79th Independence Day
NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The celebration began with hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Shri K. Narasimha Reddy, Executive Director, NTPC Talcher Kaniha, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Shri Reddy then inspected the ceremonial parade, which was led by CISF personnel along with spirited students from DAV, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), and SSVM. The event also featured the symbolic release of tri-colour balloons.

In his address, Shri K. Narasimha Reddy emphasized the importance of Independence Day and expressed his gratitude to all departments for their contributions to the organization.
On this occasion, a variety of cultural program with patriotic fervour was presented by the students from DAV School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), SSVM, Evershine Nursery and Bal Bhavan.
As part of the celebration, employees were felicitated with awards across various categories, including Meritorious Awards, Best Teacher Awards, Manveeyata Puraskar, Women Achiever Awards, Power Excel Awards, Health Champion Awards, and Security Excellence Awards for CISF personnel.
The event was graced by Shri Ch. Satya Rama Krishna, CGM (O&M), and Smt. K. Srivani, President of Tanvi Sangam. Also in attendance were senior officials of NTPC, employees, members of welfare bodies including Tanvi Sangam, representatives from unions and associations, school faculty, and CISF personnel.
Earlier in the day, Shri Ch. Satya Rama Krishna, CGM (O&M), also hoisted the National Flag at the administrative building in the presence of employees and CISF personnel.
