New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Mini Ratna public sector company under the Ministry of Railways, has just landed a major international contract from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The company got the official green light through a Letter of Acceptance on December 5, 2025, which they announced in a regulatory filing the following day.

What's the project about? RailTel will act as the main implementing agency to procure and deliver 2,000 AI-enabled laptops. This isn't just about shipping devices—the contract also covers related services and support. It's part of MEA's broader push to support international technology initiatives.

The timeline is tight but manageable. RailTel needs to wrap up the project by March 4, 2026. The deal is worth around ₹144.04 crore (that's ₹14,40,41,500 to be exact). The company has made it clear this is a straightforward business deal—no related-party connections, and none of their promoters or group companies have any ties to the MEA.

This contract is another win for RailTel as they continue expanding their reach in international ICT projects. It shows they're becoming a go-to partner for delivering modern technology solutions to government programs across the globe.
