The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has issued an official order approving the deputation of senior Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer Anita Barik to Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR).

The order was issued from New Delhi on 19 May 2026, following approval by the competent authority and vetting by the Finance Directorate.

 

Appointment Details

As per the official communication, Anita Barik has been deputed to CONCOR for a period of three years, effective from the date of relief, i.e., 08 July 2024 (FN), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

She will serve as Senior General Manager (Commercial & Operations) at Hyderabad under CONCOR.

 

Key Terms of Deputation

The deputation is subject to standard terms and conditions applicable to Central Public Sector Undertakings, including:

  • Deputation tenure of up to three years or co-terminus with rules

  • Pay and allowances as per DoPT guidelines plus deputation allowance

  • Eligibility for HRA and joining time benefits as per borrowing organisation rules

  • Medical facilities as per applicable railway and CGHS provisions

  • Continued applicability of railway service rules for leave and retirement benefits

  • Group Insurance Scheme and pension contributions as applicable

 

 

Important Service Condition

The order specifies that if the officer does not return to the Railways within one month after completion of deputation, it will be treated as deemed resignation from Railway service.

This condition ensures compliance with service rules governing deputation to PSUs.

 

Strengthening PSU–Railway Coordination

The deputation reflects ongoing administrative coordination between Indian Railways and key public sector logistics organisations like CONCOR, aimed at improving operational efficiency, freight movement, and integrated supply chain management.
