SJVN Appoints MAS Services as New Registrar & Share Transfer Agent (RTA)
SJVN Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise and a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, has announced a key change in its investor services. The company's Board of Directors has approved the appointment of M/s MAS Services Limited as its new Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (RTA), replacing the incumbent, M/s Alankit Assignments Limited.
Details of the Change:
-
New RTA: MAS Services Limited
-
Previous RTA: Alankit Assignments Limited (contract ended on December 14, 2025, after a 5-year term and a provisional 3-month extension)
-
Tenure of New Appointment: Three (3) years
-
Effective Date: The change will become effective from the date of successful electronic connectivity transfer with the depositories, NSDL and CDSL. The exact date will be communicated to the stock exchanges in due course.
-
Transition Period: Until the connectivity transfer is complete, Alankit Assignments Limited will continue to provide RTA services to ensure no disruption for shareholders. A tripartite agreement between SJVN, MAS Services, and Alankit will be executed for a smooth handover.
Reason for Change:
The change is a routine administrative decision following the completion of the previous RTA's contract term. Alankit's 5-year contract concluded in December 2025, leading to the appointment of a new agent through a formal process.
About SJVN:
SJVN Limited is a leading public sector power producer, focusing on hydroelectric and renewable energy projects. The change in RTA is an operational update and is not expected to impact the company's core business operations or financial performance.
Investor Action:
Shareholders of SJVN (BSE: 533206, NSE: SJVN-EQ) are advised to note this change. Correspondence related to share transfers, dividends, and other investor services will eventually be handled by MAS Services Limited, with details to be announced post the transition.
