Shimla, 9 March 2026: SJVN Limited commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 with a grand celebration at its Shimla corporate office, embracing this year’s theme, ‘Give To Gain’. The event saw participation from around 200 women employees across various projects and units, as well as members of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club.

The celebrations were graced by Sh. Bhupender Gupta, CMD, SJVN, along with Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, his spouse Smt. Shally Sharma, and Sh. Baljeet Singh, HoD (HR). Addressing the gathering, Sh. Gupta emphasized SJVN’s ongoing commitment to women empowerment, highlighting the crucial role of women employees in driving organizational growth, innovation, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Sh. Sharma lauded the professionalism, competence, and dedication of women employees, stressing that their contributions significantly strengthen organizational excellence and sustainable development.

The event featured Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi, Kargil war veteran, as the motivational speaker. She inspired participants by sharing her journey of resilience, leadership, and determination, encouraging women to embrace these qualities both professionally and personally.

Additionally, an outbound experiential learning session was conducted to enhance leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and resilience among participants, reinforcing the ‘Give To Gain’ message. The program highlighted that supporting and empowering women benefits not just individuals but strengthens the organization and society as a whole.
