T.N. Natarajan Recommended as Director (Commercial) of SAIL
New Delhi, January 12, 2026: The Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has recommended Shri T. N. Natarajan for appointment as Director (Commercial) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
The decision was taken during a high-level selection meeting held on January 9, 2026, in New Delhi, where senior executives from major public sector enterprises were interviewed for the post.

A total of 12 senior executives were interviewed, including officials from SAIL, IOCL and NTPC:

After detailed evaluation, the committee unanimously recommended Shri T. N. Natarajan for the top commercial leadership role at SAIL.
The recommendation will now be processed for formal government approval and appointment.
Who is Shri T. N. Natarajan
Shri T. N. Natarajan is a senior steel industry executive with over three decades of experience in sales, marketing and commercial operations at Steel Authority of India Limited SAIL.
He currently serves as Chief General Manager Sales and Regional Manager Western Region SAIL where he oversees one of the companys most important and high revenue markets.
