Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Visits NHPC’s Salal Power Station in J&K

Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, paid an official visit to NHPC’s Salal Power Station in Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir. On his arrival, he was accorded a formal welcome by NHPC Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Bhupender Gupta.

During the visit, the Union Minister reviewed the functioning of the hydropower station and interacted with senior NHPC officials. The visit reflects the government’s continued focus on strengthening hydropower infrastructure and improving power generation capacity in the region.

The Salal Power Station remains a key asset in NHPC’s hydropower portfolio and plays an important role in supporting the energy needs of Jammu & Kashmir and the northern grid.
