WCL Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2025 Concludes with Prize Distribution Ceremony
The concluding ceremony of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2025, observed in Western Coalfields Limited from 18 August to 17 November 2025, was held on 28 November 2025 at the WCL Headquarters. The event was presided over by WCL CMD Shri J. P. Dwivedi, while Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief Vigilance Officer, CIL, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

New Delhi: The concluding ceremony of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2025, observed in Western Coalfields Limited from 18 August to 17 November 2025, was held on 28 November 2025 at the WCL Headquarters. The event was presided over by WCL CMD Shri J. P. Dwivedi, while Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief Vigilance Officer, CIL, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Director (Finance) Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director Technical (Operations / Projects & Planning) Shri Anandji Prasad, Director (Human Resources) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre and General Manager (Excavation / Vigilance), CIL, Shri Sanjay Jha were also prominently present.
In his address, CMD Shri J. P. Dwivedi stated that WCL is consistently moving forward in the direction of preventive vigilance. He advised everyone to stay well-informed about relevant rules and policies and to apply them diligently in daily work. Appreciating the various competitions and activities organized by the Vigilance Department during the campaign, he congratulated all the winners.
CIL’s Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathi, emphasized women empowerment in his address, highlighting initiatives like the Pink Dispensary and inspirational examples such as shovel operator Smt. Meenakshi Kapoor. He described vigilance as a shared responsibility and recited poems and thoughts centred on daughters and constitutional values. He further mentioned the special recognition received by Coal India on the cover of Business Today magazine and its achievement of the ‘Great Place to Work’ certification. Stressing ethics, AI accountability, PIDPI awareness, and integrity, he reaffirmed zero tolerance towards corruption.
Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre detailed the various competitions and programs conducted during the campaign and underlined the importance of improving work systems and promoting participative vigilance.
The dignitaries also released the souvenir ‘Pahal’ (Compendium of Circulars & Vigilance Activities). Winners of the various competitions held during the Vigilance Awareness Campaign were felicitated by the guests. A large number of department heads, officers, and employees attended the event. The program was anchored by Shri Milind Chahande, Manager (Public Relations), and the vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta, General Manager (Vigilance).
