Delhi Metro completes Golden Line tunnel breakthrough at Vasant Kunj
Today, the Delhi Metro finished the tunnel breakthrough for its Golden Metro line in New Delhi, Vasant Kunj. The 26-kilometer metro line will run under the Aerocity-Tughlakabad Corridor and is being built by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation as part of its Phase 4 expansion.
After the breakthrough, Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal called it a matter of great happiness and thanked the officials associated with the project.
He assured that it would be completed on time, providing much-needed facilities for the people of Delhi and NCR. The minister said that India’s metro network now ranks as the third most vast, after the USA and China.
