Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2026: 60 Scaffolder Trainee Posts Open

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 60 Scaffolder Trainee posts. The recruitment is open to eligible Indian citizens, and the online application process has started from June 30, 2026. Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Minimum Qualification: Passed Class 10
• Maximum Qualification: Passed Class 12

Note: Candidates holding ITI, Diploma or Degree qualifications are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age should be 23 years as on July 22, 2026.
• Applicants should be born on or after July 23, 2003.
• Age relaxation:
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years

Training and Stipend

Selected candidates will undergo three months of training.

• Monthly Stipend: ₹10,000

After successful completion of training, candidates may be considered for contractual appointment based on organisational requirements, vacancies, and performance.

• First-year consolidated salary: ₹20,100 per month
• Annual increment will be applicable in subsequent years.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Document verification
• Physical Test (100 Marks)

Minimum qualifying marks:

• General/EWS: 50%
• OBC: 45%
• SC/ST: 40%

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹200 (plus bank charges)
• SC/ST: No application fee

The fee must be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking.

Important Note

The job of a Scaffolder involves working at heights and handling materials inside the shipyard. Therefore, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.
