New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has invited nominations from eligible officers for central deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) and for the posts of Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs). All applications must be submitted online through the SUPREMO portal starting 1 January 2026.

What the Circular Says

In a communication issued by Manisha Saxena, IAS (Establishment Officer & Additional Secretary), ministries and departments have been asked to forward names of officers who meet the eligibility criteria.
Key points include:

  • A common online system will be used for CSS and CVO applications.

  • Nodal officers must verify and approve applications on the portal.

  • Officers must have complete APARs and meet eligibility and cooling-off norms.

  • Officers already under consideration should not be relieved for other assignments without DoPT’s approval.

 

Important Rules for CVO Positions

  • Officers cannot be posted as CVOs in organizations where they had direct work interaction in the past three years.

  • Selection will depend on qualifications, experience, and recent APAR ratings.

Warning for Selected Officers

If an officer declines to join after selection, he or she will be debarred for 5 years from central deputation and foreign assignments.

Who Should Apply?

  • Officers with complete eligibility for CSS/CVO posts

  • APARs rated “Very Good” or higher

  • Cooling-off completed

  • No pending major complaints or disciplinary cases
