Railway Board Invites Applications for Member (Planning) Post in RLDA

The Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has invited applications for the post of Member (Planning) in the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) on a deputation basis, as per Vacancy Notice No. 6/2026 issued by the Railway Board.

The position is based in New Delhi and carries a Level-14 pay scale under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The selected candidate will serve as a full-time Member of the RLDA Board, playing a key role in decision-making related to railway land and infrastructure development.

Role & Responsibilities

The Member (Planning) will be responsible for advising RLDA on:

  • Commercial development of railway land

  • Redevelopment of railway colonies and stations

  • Urban planning, land use norms, and development control regulations

  • Coordination with municipal bodies, development authorities, and central/state agencies

  • Scrutiny of development and lease agreements with private developers

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold an MBA / Degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering from a recognised institution

  • Have minimum 10 years’ experience in urban/town planning or land & property management

  • Be an officer from Central/State Government, PSU, or statutory authority (outside Railway administration)

  • Possess minimum 22 years of service experience

  • Be working in Level-13 (7th CPC) or equivalent

  • Not exceed 55 years of age on the date of application

Tenure

  • 3 years, extendable up to 5 years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier

Selection Process

Selection will be made by a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) based on eligibility, experience, and APAR evaluation.

Eligible candidates must submit applications:

  • Through proper channel in the prescribed format

  • Along with APARs of last 5 years and Vigilance clearance

  • Applications should reach by 17:30 hrs on 06 March 2026
