New Delhi:   The 14th GRID-INDIA Power System Awards (GIPSA) 2025–26, celebrated excellence at ICPS 2025, IIT Hyderabad, honouring 15 PhD & 15 PG scholars for impactful power systems research— driving innovation across the power systems domain.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Samir Chandra Saxena, CMD, GRID-INDIA; Shri B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad; Shri Paresh R. Ranpara, Director (HR); Shri Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Finance) and Shri M.K. Ramesh, HoR, SRLDC—highlighting strong industry–academia collaboration.

 

The awards reflect GRID-INDIA’s commitment to nurturing innovation and academic excellence. Implemented by SIIC, IIT Kanpur, GIPSA ensures rigorous evaluation and transparent execution, fostering high-quality, industry-ready research in power systems.

Nominations from IITs, NITs, and top universities showcased India’s vibrant research ecosystem. After expert evaluation, 30 students were selected for pioneering contributions to power systems and related domains.

GIPSA reflects GRID-INDIA’s vision of bridging academia and industry, inspiring young researchers and strengthening India’s journey toward an innovative, resilient, and future-ready power sector.
