SAIL bags Star Performer Award by EEPC, Northern Region
SAIL exported 1.17 and 1.9 million tons of steel, respectively, during the two years, earning precious foreign exchange for the country when the nation was under lockdown.
New Delhi: Steel major, Steel Authority of India Limited, has been awarded the 'Star Performer' in Product Group - Basic Iron & Steel - Large Enterprise for its outstanding export performance in 2019-20 and 2020-21, by EEPC (Engineering Exports Promotion Council), Northern Region.
EEPC is the premier trade and investment promotion organisation in India, under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and caters to the Indian engineering sector.

The felicitation for this achievement was made by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, and the German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, on 28 May 2025, at New Delhi.
