New Delhi, January 2026: Public sector lender Bank of India (BOI) has announced an attractive New Year investment scheme — ‘Star Swarnim Fixed Deposit’, offering interest rates of up to 7.50% per annum for 450 days, aimed at delivering higher guaranteed returns to depositors, especially senior and super senior citizens.

Under the newly launched scheme, Super Senior Citizens can earn a maximum of 7.50% p.a., while Senior Citizens are eligible for 7.35% p.a., and other customers can receive 6.85% p.a. on non-callable deposits. The special deposit scheme is designed to help investors start the New Year with stronger savings growth and assured income.

The Star Swarnim Fixed Deposit comes with a tenure of 450 days and offers higher interest rates compared to regular fixed deposits. For callable deposits, the interest rates go up to 7.35% p.a. for Super Senior Citizens, 7.20% p.a. for Senior Citizens, and 6.70% p.a. for other customers.

• Loan against FD facility available on callable deposits

• Premature withdrawal allowed on callable deposits

• Applicable for deposits of less than ₹3 crore

• Non-callable deposits require a minimum threshold of ₹1 crore
