Dr Manoj Govil to hold additional charge of Secretary (Coordination) in Cabinet Secretariat

New Delhi, August, 1, 2025: The Competent Authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat to Shri Manoj Govil, lAS (MP:1991), Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat upon superannuation of Shri Harinath Mishra, IPS (KL:1990) on 31.07.2025 and tilt the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Manoj Govil had served in the position of Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs since October, 2022. He is a 1991 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from IIT, Kanpur, Master's Degree in Public Policy and Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University.

In his career spanning over more than three decades, he has worked at Sub-District, District, State, National and International levels.

He has also served as Principal Secretary Finance, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Principal Secretary Commercial Taxes, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
