Four IPS officers appointed as Additional Director General at CAPFs

The government has approved the appointment of four IPS officers in the rank of Additional Director General at Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) with immediate effect.

Following is the list:

Shri Anand Pratap Singh an Indian Police Service officer of 1997-batch of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Currently he is serving as Inspector General at BSF.

Shri Sumit Sharan, an Indian Police Service officer of 1997-batch of Tamil Nadu cadre. He is also serving as Inspector General at BSF.

Shri Ashish Batra, an Indian Police Service officer of 1997-batch of Jharkhand cadre. Currently he is serving as Inspector General at National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Shri Sanjay Kumar Gunjyal, an Indian Police Service officer of Uttarakhand cadre. He is serving as Inspector General at Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP).

The combined deputation tenure is based on the government's IPS tenure policy.
