Senior IPS Officer Dr Shamsher Singh appointed as Additional Director General of BSF
The government announced that senior IPS officer Dr. Shamsher Singh has been appointed the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Border Security Force (BSF). The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced the appointment through an official order issued on Sunday.
Dr. Singh, who is currently the Director General of Police, at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Gujarat, is set to assume his new role in the BSF. The BSF is poised to make gains from Dr. Singh’s extensive experience and proven leadership capabilities as he steps into this pivotal role.

He is an officer of the 1991 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) from the Gujarat cadre and is widely recognized for his dedication to law enforcement and his leadership in combating corruption during his tenure at the ACB.
