RVNL Awards ₹2,666 Crore Contract to HFCL for BharatNet Phase-III Project
New Delhi, June 17, 2026 – Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has awarded a major contract worth approximately ₹2,666.09 crore to HFCL Limited for the BharatNet Phase-III project in the Uttar Pradesh (West) Telecom Circle.
This significant order is expected to strengthen HFCL’s position in the telecom infrastructure segment.
Contract Scope
The awarded contract includes:

Supply of telecom equipment and related accessories with installation & commissioning

Creation of Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) Telecom Network

Maintenance of the project for a period of 10 years, including a 1-year warranty period
Financial Break-up:

Opex (10-year maintenance): ~₹1,473.27 Crores
Follows Previous RVNL Order
This new contract is in addition to the earlier ₹2,167.65 crore order awarded by RVNL to HFCL for BharatNet Phase-III projects in Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West) Telecom Circles, which was announced on January 23, 2025.

The contract was received in the normal course of business. There is no interest of promoter/promoter group/group companies in RVNL, and it does not fall under related party transactions.
Strategic Importance
HFCL continues to expand its footprint in the Government of India’s BharatNet initiative, which aims to provide high-speed broadband connectivity across rural India. This order further reinforces the company’s capabilities in large-scale telecom network projects.
The development was disclosed by HFCL to BSE and NSE through a regulatory filing.
