Railway Board Extends Shrikant V Janbandhu’s Deputation to CONCOR Till October 2028
New Delhi, June 17, 2026: The Ministry of Railways has approved the extension of the deputation tenure of Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, with Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR).
According to an order issued by the Railway Board, Janbandhu's tenure as Executive Director (Commercial & Operations) at CONCOR has been extended for the fourth and fifth years of deputation, allowing him to continue in the role until October 12, 2028, subject to applicable conditions.
Serving CONCOR Since 2021
Shri Shrikant V. Janbandhu, formerly Executive Director (Coaching) at Railway Board, was initially deputed to CONCOR on October 13, 2021.
The latest order extends his assignment at the Navratna public sector logistics company on existing terms and conditions, subject to exemption from the rule of immediate absorption.
Key Position in India's Logistics Sector
As Executive Director (Commercial & Operations), Janbandhu plays a crucial role in overseeing commercial and operational functions at CONCOR, one of India's largest multimodal logistics and container transport companies.
CONCOR is a key player in rail-based freight transportation and logistics services and operates an extensive network across the country.
Railway Board Issues Formal Extension Order
The extension order was issued by Roshan Kumari Meena, Under Secretary, Railway Board, after obtaining the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
The communication was sent to senior officials of Northeast Frontier Railway, Northern Railway, and CONCOR, along with other concerned departments.
