 Nayara Energy Flags Off Mobile Health Services and Upgrades Radiography Facility

Jamnagar, 21st January, 2025: Nayara Energy reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening community healthcare by launching its Mobile Health Service, inaugurated by the Mr Prasad Panicker, Chairman Nayara Energy, Mr Amar Kumar (Head of Refinery), and Members of the Refinery Leadership Team (RLT). This initiative is designed to extend essential primary healthcare services to remote and underprivileged communities, addressing critical healthcare gaps and ensuring equitable access to medical facilities for rural populations. The Mobile Health Service is expected to reach over 50,000 individuals in and around Nayara Energy’s operational area, providing vital support for preventive care, health awareness, and early diagnosis of diseases.

Alongside this, the upgraded Computerized Radiography Facility was also unveiled at the District Tuberculosis Center (DTC) in Jamnagar, significantly enhancing diagnostic capabilities. The event also included the handover of advanced diagnostic tools, including one Truenat Machine, four LX 400 LED Microscopes, and 27 Android tablets, to streamline patient monitoring and data management for TB field staff.

Recognizing Nayara Energy’s efforts in tackling tuberculosis, Hon. Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Shri Rushikesh Patel, presented an appreciation certificate on 7th December 2024. This acknowledgment highlights the distribution of over 12,000 nutrition kits to more than 7,000 TB patients, which has contributed to a remarkable 40% reduction in TB cases in Jamnagar. In addition to TB interventions, Nayara Energy is supporting the revamp of health infrastructure at Khambhaliya General Hospital and Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital in Jamnagar to address broader healthcare needs.

As part of its holistic approach to health and nutrition, Nayara Energy has also implemented a training program for ICDS staff in Devbhumi Dwarka. The program aims to enhance the capacity of Anganwadi workers and supervisors, equipping them to better address malnutrition and strengthen community engagement. With the success of these initiatives, Nayara Energy continues to contribute meaningfully to healthcare development and plans to replicate its impactful model in Maharashtra and Rajasthan in 2025.
