NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has launched a Mobile Medical Dispensary Van to provide essential healthcare services to project-affected villages of Machhakata and New Patrapara South Open Cast Project (OCP). The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare access in remote areas and improve overall community welfare.
The dispensary van was inaugurated on November 25, 2025, at the Community Health Centre, Chhendipada, by Hon’ble MLA Shri Agasthi Behera. The event was attended by NLCIL officials, including the ED/Coal Coordination and Project Head, as well as local administration leaders such as the Tahsildar, BDO, Medical Officer, Village Sarpanchs, and community representatives.
Equipped with a medical practitioner and paramedical staff, the van will deliver primary healthcare services, including medical consultations, health check-ups, and preventive care, directly to the villages. This initiative underscores NLCIL’s commitment to community welfare, social responsibility, and enhanced healthcare access for residents in project-affected regions.
The launch reflects NLCIL’s broader strategy to support sustainable development and improve the quality of life in areas surrounding its operations.
