Bharat Forge Ltd signs mou with Ministry of Defence
The Ministry of Defence under the Government of India has awarded Bharat Forge Limited a Rs. 1,661.9 crores contract for supply of 255,128 CQB Carbines (5.56 x 45 mm) to the Indian Army.

New Delhi: A Global Engineering and Manufacturing company, Bharat Forge Limited has entered into a contract with Ministry of Defence for the Supply of indigenously designed and developed CQB Carbine.
The Ministry of Defence under the Government of India has awarded Bharat Forge Limited a Rs. 1,661.9 crores contract for supply of 255,128 CQB Carbines (5.56 x 45 mm) to the Indian Army.
The contract signed on December 30, 2025, sets forth order execution within five years. Since the counter-party of this contract is Indian MoD, the contract is confidential in nature.
The nature of order is the contract for supply of Indigenously Designed and Developed CQB Carbine (5.56 x 45 mm).
The time period by which the order is to be executed is 5 years. The cost of the order is Rs 1661.90 crore.
Shares of Bharat Forge Ltd are trading higher by 1.08% at Rs 1,470.20 at BSE.
