Coal India Limited and IIT Hyderabad signs MoU to establish centre for clean coal energy

New Delhi: Coal India Limited, India’s largest coal producing PSU established a partnership with IIT Hyderabad to establish the Centre of Clean Coal Energy & Net Zero (CLEANZ). This Centre will be dedicated to advancing clean coal technologies and exploring net-zero coal utilization strategies, especially targeting low-grade/rejected Indian coals.

CIL Chairman, Shri P.M. Prasad signed the MoU on behalf of Coal India and Prof B. S. Murty, Director, on behalf of IIT Hyderabad in the esteemed presence of the Shri G. Kishan Reddy, the Hon'ble Union Minister for Coal and Mines.
