ONGC Joins MC²+ Ecosystem; Tripartite MoU Signed with IIT Bombay & SINE

ONGC participated in the MCSquarePlus Ignite Mumbai City Connect at IIT Bombay. A tripartite MoU was signed between MC²+ Foundation, IIT Bombay and SINE. ONGC will collaborate on AI-driven Subsurface Intelligence and other energy innovation themes.

Mumbai, 8 September 2026: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) participated in the MCSquarePlus Ignite Mumbai City Connect held at IIT Bombay.

The event brought together industry leaders, academia and innovators to strengthen India’s deep-tech and energy innovation ecosystem.

Tripartite MoU

A key milestone of the event was the signing of a tripartite MoU between:

  • MC²+ Foundation

  • IIT Bombay

  • Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay

ONGC’s Role

As a partner PSU in the MC²+ ecosystem, ONGC will collaborate across AI-driven Subsurface Intelligence and six other energy innovation themes. The partnership aims to help startups access R&D facilities, mentorship, funding, market opportunities and pilot projects.

ONGC said the initiative will bring industry challenges and Indian ingenuity together to help technologies move from research to deployment and scale.
