Shri Nikhil Dhongari Appointed Deputy Secretary at National Health Authority
Shri Nikhil Dhongari, IRPS (2012), appointed Deputy Secretary at National Health Authority under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Joining on central deputation from Ministry of Railways.
New Delhi, 26 November 2025: Shri Nikhil Dhongari, IRPS (2012), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary at the National Health Authority under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The appointment is on central deputation from the Ministry of Railways and comes under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Shri Dhongari will assume charge of his new role immediately and serve co-terminus with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, with the possibility of extension as per the provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme or until further orders. He is required to join the post within three weeks from the date of this notification, in line with the directives of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
The National Health Authority oversees the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, which aims to strengthen digital health infrastructure and improve access to healthcare services across India. Shri Dhongari’s appointment is expected to contribute to the efficient execution of this flagship programme.
The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Delhi, has been requested to formally issue the notification of his appointment, and Shri Dhongari will be relieved of his duties at the Ministry of Railways to take up the new assignment.
