New Delhi, July 17, 2025: Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML Limited) today announced the appointment of Ms. Meera Mohanty, Joint Secretary (P&C), on the BEML Board as the Government Director (Part-time official Director). The company informed that the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, Government of India, in its Office Memorandum dated July 14, 2025 conveyed the approval of the Competent Authority for the appointment.

Ms. Meera Mohanty, Joint secretary (P&C) as a Government Director of BEML, replaced Smt. Nishtha Upadhyay, Joint Secretary (Training) and Finance Manager (Land Systems) w.e.f 14th July, 2025 until further order.
Ms. Mohanty is an IAS Officer Himachal Pradesh of 2005 batch who has been appointed as Joint secretary (P&C) in the Ministry of Defence in the Department of Defence Production. Prior to this, she was a Joint Secretary at Prime Minister’s Office
