Railway Board Deputes IRSEE Officer Himanshu Maheshwari to NHSRCL as Dy. CPM (Electrical)
Mumbai: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Himanshu Maheshwari to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) as Deputy Chief Project Manager (Electrical). The order, issued by the Railway Board, marks a significant move to strengthen the technical leadership of India’s high-speed rail projects.
As per the official communication, the officer—currently serving as Director (Electrical) at CAMTECH under the Research Designs and Standards Organisation—will serve on deputation for a period of five years from the date of relief, i.e., 30 March 2026 (afternoon), or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The deputation is subject to exemption from the rule of immediate absorption by NHSRCL.
During the deputation tenure, Shri Maheshwari will continue to draw pay and allowances as admissible under Railway rules, along with deputation allowance in accordance with the Department of Personnel and Training guidelines. The borrowing organisation will also handle joining time pay, travel expenses, and other deputation-related benefits as per prescribed norms.
The order clarifies that the officer will remain governed by Railway leave and retirement rules while on deputation. NHSRCL will make the required contributions towards pension, group insurance, and other statutory benefits during the tenure. Medical facilities will be provided either through the borrowing organisation or Railway medical services, as per applicable provisions.
The deputation reflects ongoing efforts by Indian Railways to strengthen collaboration with NHSRCL for the development of high-speed rail infrastructure in India. The appointment of experienced railway officers to key project roles is expected to accelerate the implementation of advanced rail technologies and ensure efficient execution of the country’s ambitious bullet train initiatives.
