New Delhi: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Engineers India Limited in a meeting held on 17.11.2025. Shri Atul Gupta has been recommended for the post. He is currently serving as Director (Commercial) New Delhi, Engineers India Limited.
Further, the appointment will be confirmed after the approval from the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet. His leadership will be expected to carry-on the legacy of prior contributions made by previous heirs.

Currently, this post has been served by veteran officer Mrs Vartika Shukla who was appointed on 23.04.2021. She will have a tenure till her retirement i.e. 28.02.2026. A total of 9 candidates had been shortlisted for the interview. The officers hail from Engineers India Ltd, Indian Oil Corporation, Gail (India) Ltd, Bridge and Roof Company (India) Ltd.
