CONCOR unveils Historic Rail Connectivity at GCT-Varnama
In a significant development for India's logistics sector, CONCOR has established rail connectivity for the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) at Varnama with the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). On December 21, 2024, the first double-stack container train arrived at GCT-Varnama from Khatuwas and Dadri, carrying JNPT-bound export cargo.
This terminal will also facilitate the conversion of import containers into double-stack trains for Northern India, ensuring faster and sustainable movement via the WDFC.
