Dr Garima Bhagat appointed as Part Time Official Director on GRSE Board
Dr. Garima Bhagat has become the Part-Time Official Director (Government Nominee Director) of the Garden Reach Shipbuilders Engineers Ltd, effective from 23 Dec 2024 until further orders of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the exchange filing made, we would like to inform you that the Ministry of Defence, Government of India vide its letter No. 8(32)/2019-D(Coord/DDP) dated 10 Dec 2024 received on 11 Dec 2024 has nominated Dr. Garima Bhagat (DIN:10881164) as the Part-Time Official Director (Government Nominee Director) on the Board of Directors of the Company.

Dr. Garima Bhagat (DIN:10881164), Joint Secretary (Land System) has been nominated as Part-Time Official Director (Government Nominee Director) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. She became the Director on the Board of the Company w.e.f. 23 Dec 2024.
Dr. Bhagat is a B.Tech Gold Medalist and a law graduate, with a PhD from IIT Delhi. She is also a 1996-batch Indian Revenue Service Officer (IRS-IT).
With over 27 years of public service experience in the Government of India, Dr. Bhagat has accumulated extensive expertise in areas such as taxation, anti-corruption, public procurement, administration, and competition law. She has held several significant positions within the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Government of India. Notably, she served as the Chief Vigilance Officer at the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and as Joint Director General at the Competition Commission of India.
