NTPC Bongaigaon wins Intra Regional Sports Meet (ER-II)-Football 2023
The program was aired live across all NTPC stations employees and Departmental Heads in large numbers participated at NTPC Bongaigaon.

NTPC Bongaigaon has won the coveted Intra Regional Sports Meet Trophy (IRSM-2022)-Football of ER-II defeating NTPC North Karanpura, Jharkand (3-0). In the six-day electric event where three other teams NTPC Darlipali, Talcher Thermal and Talcher Kaniha from Odisha participated, host Team NTPC Bongaigaon took the lead in all the league matches and finally won against the North Karanpura
Chief Guest Shri K.C. Muraleedharan, GM (O&M),NTPC Bongaigaon and special invitee on the occasion renowned footballer of India hailing from Assam Shri Durga Boro were present in the final tournament in the presence of Shri Induri S Reddy, GM (Maintenance) and Shri A Biswas GM (Operations) & President, Sports Council, NTPC Bongaigaon .

He praised NTPC Bongaigaon for conducting an event which had the look and feel of an international sporting event. Shri Durga Boro also praised the entire event and encouraged the finalists for playing in a disciplined manner.

Medals and souvenirs of participation were given to all the teams.

It is pertinent to mention that IRSM is an annual event conducted by NTPC for various sports like football, badminton, volleyball and Table Tennis as a part of employee welfare to promote team spirit and togetherness among its power units.
