SJVN Chairman laid foundation of Turbine of 1st unit of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project
With this, SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL) has achieved another major milestone towards commissioning of the Project.
Shimla: Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN virtually laid the foundation of Turbine of first unit of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in the presence of Sh. Sushil Sharma Director (Electrical). The erection work commenced on the auspicious day of Durga Maha Ashtami with the erection of first pedestal.
With this, SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL) has achieved another major milestone towards commissioning of the Project.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma told that, the Turbine has five pedestals each weighing around 20 MT. The Turbine has been manufactured in Hazira manufacturing facility of L&T with Japanese technology.
On this occasion, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN appreciated the efforts of Team STPL in working towards the Project commissioning within scheduled timelines. The ceremony was attended by CEO, STPL Sh. Manoj Kumar along with other senior officers. The first Unit is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2023 and the second Unit in December 2023.
