GE Power India Limited has received purchase and work orders worth Rs 40.34 crore (excluding GST) from NTPC Limited and M.P. Power Generating Co. Ltd.

The contracts include boiler panel services and the provision of steam turbine parts for the Talcher plant. The won contracts, which were obtained from domestic firms, comprise boiler panel services with an 80-day timetable and turbine components supply with a 15-month timeline.

These initiatives enhance GE Power India's position in the Indian energy industry by utilizing their proficiency in power infrastructure. The contracts are anticipated to strengthen GE Power India's market position by improving operational efficiency at the individual power facilities.

GE Power India Ltd has experienced a decline in its stock performance, with a 6.77% drop over the past week. Over six months, the stock has fallen by 48.2%, while its one-year return stands at -21.8%, reflecting market challenges.

Shares of the power company are trading higher by 0.25% at Rs 259.20.
