New Delhi, September 5 2026: In a significant step towards modernising coal evacuation, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has signed the Siding Agreement with East Central Railway (ECR) for the Maheshpur Silo FMC Project.
The agreement was signed on 4 September 2026.

The project is expected to enable faster mechanised coal loading, improve rake turnaround time, enhance dispatch capacity and reduce dependence on road transportation. These improvements will contribute to a more efficient and streamlined coal evacuation system.
This development marks an important milestone in strengthening BCCL’s logistics infrastructure and building a faster, more efficient coal evacuation network.
