DFCCIL Reviews JNPT Connectivity, MD Inspects New JNPT Station
Mumbai, September 5, 2026: DFCCIL Managing Director Praveen Kumar reviewed infrastructure, operational preparedness and rail connectivity to JNPT during his visit to Mumbai. He also inspected the New JNPT Station along with senior railway and DFCCIL officials.
During the visit, Kumar met Ramashray Pandey, General Manager, Western Railway. The discussions focused on infrastructure development, improved rail connectivity and the logistics potential of the region.

Kumar inspected New JNPT Station with Hiresh Mina, DRM, Mumbai Division, Central Railway, along with Manish Awashy, ED/Infra, S.P. Verma, GGM/BD&BA and other senior officials.
The officials discussed infrastructure development and measures related to improving rail connectivity to JNPT.
Focus on Freight Connectivity
DFCCIL highlighted the importance of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor in supporting faster, efficient and sustainable freight movement.
The visit also focused on strengthening rail connectivity to JNPT and its role in port-led logistics and freight transportation.
