Hindustan Shipyard Milestone in 60T Tug for Visakhapatnam Port

Visakhapatnam, September 5, 2026: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has achieved a key milestone in the construction of the second 60-tonne bollard pull tug (VC 11206) being built for the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA).

The vessel is the second in the series of 60-tonne bollard pull tugs ordered by VPA from HSL. The shipyard continues to make steady progress on the project, reinforcing its capability in building specialised harbour craft for Indian ports.

This development marks another step forward in strengthening the operational capacity of Visakhapatnam Port with modern, high-powered tugs designed for efficient ship handling and harbour operations.
